Friends and family are more aware of advancing hearing loss than the person who has it.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Stage Two Symptoms <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; 30% &#8211; 50% Hearing Loss<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moderately loud sounds becoming inaudible like the refrigerator, a doorbell, children&#8217;s voices, feet on the floor<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lip reading is now used, otherwise, words are often misinterpreted<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TV volume too loud for most people<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conversations require effort for both the speaker and the listener<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spouse develops a loud voice<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social withdrawal begins<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mental fade can begin here<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Family frustration elevated. \u201cDaddy, why does grandma ignore me?\u201d \u201cYou purposely ignore me. Selective hearing\u201c\u00a0 \u201cAnd, you purposely walk away from me and mumble!\u201d<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At this stage, each family member is affected in some way.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Stage Three Symptoms<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; 60% &#8211; 80% Hearing Loss. Stage two was made worse.<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TV loud enough to be heard outside<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must pound hard on the door to get their attention<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conversations are never casual.
